New Delhi, India is a photographers dream! Not for vast, beautiful landscapes, but for interesting subjects, the colorful markets, and friendly people. Everywhere you go, there’s always something going on and there’s always something to photograph.

Location: Qutub Minar UNESCO World Heritage Site

Location: Old Delhi – Chandi Chowk Market
You’ll never run out of things to photograph in Chandi ChowkYou absolutely must photograph the power lines! Chandi Chowk is always bustling!

A great place to capture how crowded Old Delhi can be is the Chor Bazaar street market just outside of Jama Masjid mosqueDecorative doorway and doorframe, with plants, in Old Delhi The street dogs always find interesting places to nap

Red Fort (Lal Qila) Delhi India, a World Heritage Site made of red sandstone, built during the Mughal regime
Location: Dilli Haat
Dilli Haat is a fantastic shopping market to find handicrafts from all states in India in one spot. So many colorful subjects to photograph!Dilli Haat – always colorful!
Location: Humayan’s Tomb
The ancient Humayans Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage SiteTourists take photos for social media while exploring the Humayan’s Tomb ancient complex and ruins
Location: Lodi Garden
Bamboo trees line walking paths in Lodi Gardens in New Delhi India – an excellent break from the hustle and bustle of the cityLodhi Garden is a fantastic place to take your Instagram pics!You can buy an outfit like this in Dilli Haat and then head to Lodi Garden to photograph it for instagram, just like my sister did!
Location: The Oberoi Hotel
If you go into the Oberoi Hotel and head up to the observation deck, you can get a bird’s eye view of Delhi!
Location: Nehru Place
Nehru Place is an electronics and (mostly) men’s clothing market. You’ll find lots to photograph here, especially piles and piles of knockoff designer shoes! Nehru Place market is near the Lotus Temple and makes a great spot for street photography

Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi India. This memorial is where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination in 1948. This is a beautiful open-air memorial is built along the River Yamuna, with beautiful landscaping; a black marble platform with an eternal flame marks the spot where he was cremated.
