Bush Point Lighthouse is located on private property. This means you cannot walk up to the lighthouse and you can only photograph it. You will drive through a residential neighborhood and when you reach the lighthouse, you will see no trespassing signs. You can only photograph this from the road.

Parking: There is no parking lot but you can park on the side of the road and snap a few pictures.
Other: No restrooms, no visitor center, no gift shop, and you can’t climb it or get close to it.

Visiting Bush Point Lighthouse
Because you cannot get close to the Bush Point Lighthouse, this is a very quick stop. The lighthouse can easily be seen from the road but you still might want to bring a telephoto lens.
The lighthouse used to be owned by a local family. Each night, they would light a kerosene lamp and hang it from the lighthouse gallows. The lighthouse was placed in this area to mark the entrance to the narrow passage between Whidbey Island and Marrowstone Island. Today, the lighthouse is non-operational and is owned by the US Coast Guard.
