Review: Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott – Moses Lake, Washington

Located right off of Interstate 90 in Eastern Washington State, this newer Fairfield Inn offers your typical 3-star hotel accommodations in a nice, well-kept area of a small town.

We stayed here during a road trip out west, as we were making our way back home to Minnesota. We were having extreme difficulties finding a place to stay for the night – we wanted to make it out to Spokane, but believe it or not, we couldn’t find one hotel to stay at that night! So, we decided we’d have to stop earlier than planned for the night, in Moses Lake, since that was the only place where we could get a hotel reservation.

Rooms at the Fairfield Inn – Moses Lake, Washington

We were assigned a two queen hotel room. The room was clean and welcoming, the bed was comfy and no issues with anything in the room. The real beds felt welcome after staying at a KOA in the Olympic Peninsula the last few nights! I was given an upgrade to a room with a separate, small sitting area with a couch, which was nice. The bathroom was spacious, the shower had excellent water pressure, and good ventilation in the bathroom.

Pool Area:

The Fairfield Inn at Moses Lake had a small indoor pool (and when I say small, it’s small! This isn’t a pool where you’re going to be swimming laps!), but we didn’t use it during our one-night stay. I was a little disappointed at there was no hot tub, but we were only here for one night, so chances are, we probably wouldn’t have used it anyway.

Fitness Center at the Moses Lake Fairfield Inn:

The gym was great! It was spacious with modern LifeFitness treadmills and ellipticals and had a rack of free weights. Everything was in working order.

Breakfast at the Fairfield Inn:

It’s your standard Fairfield Inn-type breakfast. The eating area was spacous and colorful with lots of seating. The hotel seemed very busy when we checked in but breakfast didn’t feel chaotic or anything.

What’s Nearby the Moses Lake Fairfield Inn:

Honestly? Not a whole lot. This hotel is located right off of I-90, which was great, for convenience for travelers like myself who are just passing through, with a few other similar 3-star hotels within the same little area. There’s a bunch of fast food restaurants nearby, but we chose to eat at the taqueria, which was just a 1/2 mile away. (Verdict: It was “ok” – I had the street tacos, and they weren’t my favorite – tasted like something I could make at home and trust me, I am a bad cook).

Fairfield Inn Marriott – Moses Lake, Washington – Final Thoughts

This was a great hotel – it’s just what you’d expect a Fairfield Inn to be, though I thought the nightly rate was expensive – it was over $240/night (I used a free night certificate to stay here). Seems excessive for rural Washington State – especially since there’s just nothing around here to attract tourists. However, if I happen to be in the eastern Washington State area and need a place to stay, I’d definitely stay at the Fairfield Inn in Moses Lake again!
