Best Western Premier Denver East – HONEST Hotel Review
I stayed at the Best Western Premier Denver East hotel for 3 nights during July, with my dog. Although this hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside (honestly, it looks a big dingy and gives off that musty ’80s hotel vibe), it’s recently remodeled and is a total gem and was in a great location for what I needed – plus the room rate was very reasonable. Let’s get into my review of the Best Western Premier Denver East hotel.
Location:
The Best Western Denver East hotel is located right off of I-70, and not too far from the Denver International Airport. During my three-night stay, I needed convenient access to the interstate, as well as access to the airport, as I was picking up my husband. This hotel is also close to a good selection of restaurants, as well as a shopping mall and Target within easy driving distance.
During my stay, I did a day trip to Red Rocks – it was an easy drive, though I went in the morning and was back by early afternoon – I could see traffic being an issue at other times of the day.
However, if you’re looking to stay here to explore Denver as a first-time tourist, I don’t think this would be my first choice. This is more of a suburban location, it isn’t walkable to anything – you will need a car to visit any of Denver’s attractions. In that case, I would chose a location in downtown Denver. For my visit, it was perfectly fine.
Parking
The Best Western Denver East hotel has a very large parking lot with plenty of room. Parking is free.
Rooms:
The hallways to the rooms are like a maze – you can easily get lost if you don’t pay attention to where you’re going. They seem to go on forever.
I booked a king room and found everything to be excellent. Bed was very comfortable, room was very spacious – I had a lounger with a side table, a desk with plenty of counter space, and lots of places to charge my electronics. It also had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker.
The bathroom was also really nice – everything about this room was definitely a step up from your average Best Western (probably why it’s a “Premier”, right?!)
Some of the rooms have balconies and patios, which would be really nice!
Pool at the Best Western Premier Denver East
The Best Western Premier Denver East hotel has an outdoor pool. They were working on some repairs to the outdoor pool area, so part of the lounge area was off-limits (including the hot tub), but the pool was open. They have loungers sitting in the water, so you can relax in the pool while sitting down. The pool has waterfall fountains and a very shallow end for wading.
They also have cabanas – I took advantage of one of them and got some work done on my laptop while sitting by the pool. This whole area was really nice, despite the fact that they had some construction going on.
Fitness Center at the Best Western Premier Denver East
The gym here was awesome! It’s located in the basement of the hotel but for a hotel gym, it’s really big. They had plenty of cardio equipment – it wasn’t the ‘latest and greatest’ but they had a good variety (treadmills, ellipticals and bikes) and they had lots of free weight equipment.
Breakfast at the Best Western Premier Denver East
I was given free breakfast vouchers for each night of my stay – now, I don’t know if breakfast is free or not (or if I was given the vouchers due to my status). Breakfast is served in the attached restaurant, buffet-style. I thought this was a better-than-average free hotel breakfast – the breakfast potatoes were amazing!

Other amenities at the Best Western Premier Denver East
Laundry: Guest laundry is available in the basement area of the hotel. They have a good amount of machines, and I didn’t have any issues.
Restaurant: The Best Western Denver East hotel has an attached restaurant but it was closed during my stay. Closed, as in, out of business.

Best Western Denver Premier East – Final Thoughts
This is a great hotel that’s recently been remodeled – I was very pleased with my stay. I loved the large fitness center, the breakfast was terrific (though again, I don’t know if it was free for everyone). I was a little disappointed that the attached restaurant was out of business (nothing was mentioned on their site, and I had planned on eating there my first night as I was very tired). The pool area was really nice and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area.
